Brrrr!

Eddie getting warmed up

Pineapple Chicken Tostadas

tostadas and lots of beer

Baby, it's cold outside! Please, somebody, take me to Mexico! This weather makes me want to dive under my duvet until spring. I made some tostadas the other night and I have to say, this is a good recipe. If you make it you will not be sorry, this is a kick ass meal, as Steve put it. So, dear friends, if your pocketbook won't allow you to go away to warmer climates, the next best thing would be to make something Mexican, break open a couple of Coronas, and put on s0me Salsa tunes.
(FYI, if you do decide to make this recipe, I would recomend draining the canned tomatoes or using fresh, as it was a wee bit too liquidy. Also, in the ingredients it lists beans but they were not in the receipe method, I never used them and I did'nt miss them, as this meal was quite filling.)

Your cat is beautiful! I believe he's the same cat you've had for a few years now right? How old is he now? Mexican food is one of my favourite foods. I will try the recipe for sure, thanks P!

Ya gotta have beer with this recipe Nat! No other drink will do.
Eddie is almost 13 now, I think. I'm fuzzy on the exact year I got him. How old is Susie?

Oh I love that top too and the necklace. We'll have to go shopping together (with C too!) one of these days, just like we use too.

Hi Pat- those were cute clothes in Yorkville-you and I will have to go shopping there someday. I want to go on a bakeshop tour as well. New York is one of my fav cities now- not in summer though. I feel like I can walk around that city and feel fine. I found some great places I want to return to- like the Popover Cafe- Upper W. side. I like it up there now. Oh, the Tostados looked delic. I'll try out the recipe - thanks! :)

Also, I love the heating grate you have (sounds like a new home buyer, doesn't it?). ;)
