fashion friday

So, i happened to be walking through Yorkville and saw this window, which was so colorful and eye-catching i just had to snap it. I did'nt notice the stores' name until I loaded the pictures - I've never even heard of it, have you?
Despite it being a silly name, and almost politically incorrect, i found the clothes to be very nice, and i love the way they're presented.
The color combinations (in the top photo)of chocolate brown, cream, red and turquoise were rather attractive to me and i love the way the clothes are layered. I would like to layer more with my own wardrobe instead of the usual t-shirt under cardigan or pullover sweater. I'm so inspired to start layering more, with multiple tee shirts in different lengths and i want to wear skirts more often, i think.
The bottom photo features such lovely patterned clothing in emerald green and cheery red. I love the flouncy top paired with black leggings, and the green skirt looks great with that belt. Ohh, i can't wait for spring!

odd name for a store, maybe the names of the owners?

Rich and Skinny? Funny how sad it is, but I guess the complete opposite such as poor and plump wouldn't even get a glance? It is so sad what we strive to be. What about Fulfilled and Vuluptuous?? I like that. Let's just drop those names altogether. Right now I'd like to be at the buttercream cupcake!! Why didn't ya walk passed that store?? hee hee. I do love the colors. they are good. At first the Logo looked more like a luck and charms store...I love that you carry your camera around with you!! Good on ya!!

I crave cupcakes all the time
How I would love a cupcake from the cupcake cafe in NYC right now!!!! (make that a few)
(by the way I noticed they have moved the location, just up the street, maybe it's in a nicer spot)
Fulfilled and Vuluptuous.... I like the sound of that!
I guess because I love cupcakes so much I can't fit into anything from Rich and skinny, I'd just rather eat cupcakes (hee hee) to be honest and enjoy every crumb!
Size 12 is fine with me for the moment, if I get back to a size 8, I'll be really happy.

Fulfilled and Voluptuous.. i wish. Yes, that store, dispite having fab clothes, has alot of nerve naming it as such..bad on them!
I'm a size 10, and am happy with that, just wish i was more toned really.
Ahhhh, cupcakes....you guys are making me want to bake!

Ya, toned is the key to looking and feeling better about one's self, turning 40 soon and I'm knowing more and more everyday what gravity is, arghhhhh!

BUT I STILL LIKE CUPCAKES!

ya, those cupcakes are so b-e-a-u-t-f-u-l!
and d-e-l-i-s-h!

I always want to keep the last one and just look at it, but usually end up eating it pretty fast.

I love walking to Byrant Park and sitting there with a box of Cupcake Cafe cupcakes and make everybody jealous! hee hee

Funny how customer service just isn't what it used to be!

Like Edina in ABFAB said to a sales woman in one episode, "drop the attitude you just work in a shop" (or something like that), it's true, people with attitude should not be in the service industry.
Unfortunately that's what you get now in most stores, restaurants.

I wish I could be Edina at ertain times!

(my keyboard is getting alittle old, leaves out letters, need to get a new one soon)

the winter scenes are very pretty- reminds me of Saskatchewan. Spring- hurry up. Oh, I'm baking today to warm up the house- brownies. Maybe I'll send some to Matt. Hope it warms up there soon. I want it hotter when we come for our trip next weekend. See you then .

send me some warm brownies too big sis C

I made cupcakes yesterday but they were kinda blah, until I made the icing and refrigerated them, now they are ok, but not Cupcake Cafe worthy.
P are you doing lots of baking in this cold weather? That will heat up the kitchen alittle more.
