Beauty stuff

This post is for my sis Carol, who suggested we name our fave beauty products or tips. So here are mine:
1.Moisturize, moisturize....uh, moisturize!
doesn't matter what it is, or how much it costs, but i slather it on at least once a day, esp. since the dry heat in the house, makes my skin feel tight and horribly dry. I'm thinking of getting a humidifier to put next to my bed.
2. Lip Balm. Vaseline is my fave - always found in my bathroom, bedside table and purse. I am sooo addicted - it is my lip saviour.
3. Cleanse. Garnier Soft Foaming Cleansing Cream for Dry and sensitive skin.
I wash my face with this in the shower and it smells nice, and makes my skin feel refreshed and sooo soft. I also exfoliate with Yves Rocher pure calmille exfoliant once a week.
4. Water and Sleep. I don't know if this makes alot of difference, and it goes without saying, but drink lots of water, since the skin is about 80% water and a good night's rest is supposedly good for your skin.
5. SPF - whether it is January or August, protect your skin, if you don't want to look like a leather purse when your older.

Vita-K works!!! You can get it at Walgreens or CVS or Osco drugs in the US southwest. I used it for some little veins I saw coming up on the outside top side of my leg. It freaked me out and they went away with this....Or just drink a lot of expensive Liquieur and don't look at your face or skin at all.. That works too.

all good suggestions from Carol and Vanessa!
and i do love L'Occitanne as well
and Vit K for my eyes, although the bottle says it helps lighten dark circles, and I've used it for nearly 6 months and have'nt noticed any difference. But I do reccommend it to moisturize the eye area.
Expensive liqueur might work if we did'nt have mirrors, lol!

Well, I mostly take my beauty products tips from C so here it goes.
1. At the moment, I'm using lots of Aveda products too. I like the All sensitive facial moisturizer very much so, the hand relief (a must in winter, my hands are so dry and I have cuts (not so pretty!). The blue oil is so soothing on my neck (yes, I have a pain in the neck!)

2. My mom bought me the Burt's Bees lip shimmer and I absolutely love it. I have the watermelon tint but will definitely try all other colours.

3. About 20 years ago, I lived with P and C and we use to do facials with a camomile tea bag in boiling water in a bowl, put a towel over our heads and just relax. I tried it last week and it feels so good. I will try to do it more often but is hard to find the time.

4. Don't know

5. Well, I guess that's it!

Nat, you should treat yourself to your camomile facial steam once a week, it only takes 5 minutes, and hubby can watch the munchkins for 5 minutes. Remember to apply facial cream while skin is still damp for a boost.

Yes, a nice steam once a week sounds like a plan, I want to get back to doing that, it's so relaxing.

Nat, don't you just love the blue oil!
